EDUCATION AND TRAINING
The NAMI Family-to-Family Program is a free, 12-week educational course for family members (two family members, including teens, are welcome)or individuals with mental illness; facilitated by trained NAMI family members. All instruction and course materials are free to class participants. The course includes information about a variety of severe mental illness categories, information about medications and side effects, strategies for handling crisis, care for the caregiver, and guidance on locating supports and services within the individuals community. To participate in a Family-to-Family course or to become a trained facilitator contact Esther Lee, Program Coordinator, at 571-458-7310.
